Job Description SummaryResponsible for effectively maintaining all refrigeration and kitchen equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Interacts effectively with the public and Team Members.
- Performs excellent customer service at all times.
- Completes timely repairs on all domestic, commercial and industrial kitchen equipment.
- Maintains working conditions of restaurant equipment, including fryers, dishwashers, stoves, food mixers and buffet line equipment.
- Maintains refrigeration equipment, including compressors, evaporators and refrigerant leaks.
- Meets with Executive Chef on a daily basis.
- Keeps machinery operating in a safe, efficient manner, acceptable with all health codes.
- Reads schematics and performs electrical troubleshooting on all mechanical equipment.
- Repairs all electrical motor failures.
- Welds stainless, aluminum and cast iron, as well as normal welding on mild steel.
- Relocates existing equipment when requested.
- Maintains an adequate supply of materials needed for the efficient performance of job.
- Maintains all logs necessary for conformance with standards set.
- Maintains a consistent, regular attendance record.
- Performs any reasonable request made by management.
- Perform job duties, demonstrate excellent work habits, and deliver exceptional service to internal and external guests.
- Exhibit the highest degree of professionalism, including appearance, attendance, reliability, teamwork, ethics, integrity, and comply with all governing policies and procedures.

- Serve as contributing Team Member of CGRC enhancing operations in all its business endeavors.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- One year technical training.
- EPA approved “Proper Refrigeration Practices” (Universal Certification Card).
- Minimum 10 years maintaining kitchen equipment.
- Must be familiar with high and low voltage controls.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as technical journals, policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints.
- Mathematical skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. - Reasoning ability:
Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of situations.
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Regularly required to climb a twelve‑foot ladder.
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock and danger of exposure to various chemicals used in the maintenance of the property.
- Frequently required to work in confined areas.
- Noise level usually moderate to loud.
- When on the casino floor, exposure to a smoke‑filled environment.
