As the Water and Sewer Operations Manager, you will manage the city's water distribution and wastewater collection systems. This role requires strong leadership of eleven staff and collaboration with various city departments and external contractors. You will drive operational excellence by ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and developing strategic plans for infrastructure improvement and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead maintenance of water distribution and wastewater infrastructure
• Plan and coordinate departmental work assignments
• Manage operating and capital budgets efficiently
• Supervise and train staff in a safe work environment
• Respond to public inquiries and service concerns
Requirements:
• Grade 12 or equivalent education
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence; RCMP security clearance
• Ability to obtain Class III Water & Wastewater Certifications
• Five years of supervisory experience preferred
• Experience with project management and asset management
