Financial Controller

Are you a confident, qualified finance leader ready to take ownership of a dynamic SME finance function? We're set to recruit a Financial Controller for a highly respected engineering and manufacturing business based in the West Midlands.

This is a rare opportunity to work closely with a superb Finance Director who is part of a wider group leadership team. You'll be stepping into a pivotal role, managing a high-performing finance team
, and playing a key part in shaping the company's strategic direction.

• Leadership & Autonomy
  :
  Own the full finance function, including statutory reporting, forecasting, and compliance across UK and international entities.
• Strategic Influence
  :
  Work directly with the MD and Group FD on business planning, reporting, and performance improvement.
• Team Culture
  :
  Lead a collaborative and capable team in a business that values emotional intelligence, empathy, and integrity.
• Group Exposure
  :
  Be the key contact for all finance matters across the UK, US, and India operations.

• A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience leading finance in an SME.
• Strong systems knowledge (Excel, Sage Line 50, MRP).
• Experience in engineering or manufacturing environments.
• A confident communicator with a hands-on approach and commercial mindset.

• Knowledge of UK GAAP, US GAAP, and international trade finance.
• Experience with FRS
  102, contract accounting, and employment law.
