The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a hands‑on Industrial Electrician who enjoys troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in maintaining production efficiency and supporting a safe, high‑performing operation.

This role requires shift work. 12 hour shifts, rotating days and nights every 2 weeks.

  • Production equipment is maintained in safe, efficient working order
  • Downtime is minimized through preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Maintenance logs and CMMS records are accurately maintained
  • Safety procedures and GMP standards are consistently followed
  • Plant systems and utilities operate efficiently and reliably
  • Continuous improvement opportunities are identified and supported
Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and maintain records within the CMMS system (Limble)
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and complete necessary repairs and adjustments
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, blueprints, and service manuals
  • Fabricate equipment and complete modifications as required
  • Repair and maintain conveyors, gearboxes, drive chains, hydraulics, pneumatics, and related systems
  • Maintain HVAC systems, water softener systems, chiller units, and plant utilities
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance workspace
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the facility
  • Prioritize workplace safety in all activities
Qualifications
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC systems considered a strong asset
  • Experience with BMS systems considered an asset
  • Ability to read and create electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Experience with in GMP, food manufacturing, meat processing, or regulated manufacturing environments preferred
  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
  • Experience with HVAC and chiller systems considered an asset
  • Ability to work shift schedules including nights, weekends, and overtime as required
  • Must be able to wear required PPE and work safely within an industrial environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to:

  • Stand for extended periods of time (up to 12 hours)
  • Bend, reach, pull, kneel, crouch, and walk frequently
  • Work around moving mechanical equipment, elevated noise levels, and industrial materials safely
