Job Description
Reporting to the Bakery Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:
To come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude.
To be dependable for all scheduled shifts.
To be responsible for completing the required production from the production master sheet.
To be responsible for completing decorating requirements to prepare cakes for sale or shipment.
To be responsible for mixing icing to association standards.
To be responsible for merchandising completed product on the sales floor.
To be responsible to ensure that in the handling of all products, high cleanliness and quality standards are maintained.
To maintain daily production and ingredient records as required.
To keep clean and in good working order all equipment used in the performance of duties.
To maintain good sanitation standards in the work area.
To perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsMust have recognized training or a minimum of two years’ experience working with all types of desert cakes, icings and cake decorating techniques to operate effectively in the department.
Good health and health habits - capable of handling ingredient and product rates common in the plant.
Must be physically able to perform the lifting and carrying required in the department.
Must be well organized, and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum of supervision.
Experience or training in working with chocolate will be an asset.
Applicant must be able to work mornings
