Become a key player at Sask Abilities as a Wood Shop Production Worker in Saskatoon, managing production activities and operating essential machinery. This full-time role focuses on maintaining product quality and effective teamwork.
As a permanent Wood Shop Production Worker, you'll report to the Senior Supervisor and execute various production duties. You'll operate equipment like mitre saws and table saws while assisting in training and job planning for clients. The position emphasizes adherence to safety practices and manufacturing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate machinery including mitre saws and table saws
• Assist in job planning and delegation of tasks
• Ensure adherence to quality and safety procedures
• Ship and receive materials as needed
• Participate in inventory counts and training efforts
Requirements:
• Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
• Industrial, mechanical, or woodworking experience
• Forklift operator’s certificate preferred
• Strong math and communication skills
• Ability to work with individuals with disabilities
