Position: Wood Shop Production Worker – Saskatoon Branch

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Senior Supervisor, the successful applicant will perform production duties and may assist in the coordination and delivery of training to program clients.
Performing production activities and operating production machinery including Mitre saws, up cut saws, table saw, airnailers, pallet jacks, multi rip saw, banding machines, and material handling equipment
Assisting in job planning, supervision and delegation of duties to area clients
Ensuring area procedures are followed to ensure product quality, production efficiency and safe working conditions
Shipping and receiving materials
Assisting with inventory counts
Performing production activities and operating production machinery in additional Training Centre Departments as required
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Senior Supervisor
Qualifications
Education:
Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Industrial, mechanical and/or woodworking experience
Forklift operator’s certificate and WHMIS certification are considered assets
Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work effectively with individuals experiencing disabilities
Strong math and communication skills
Final candidates are required to provide satisfactory criminal record checks including a vulnerable sector search.
Compensation: Pay Class 12 (range of $21.10 to $25.78 per hour) plus benefit package
