The Production Supervisor plays an integral role within our manufacturing facilities. You will be the coach on the playing field, providing leadership and guidance to our team members. You

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
Ensure daily production targets are met while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards.Supervise and coordinate floor staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing coaching or corrective action as needed.Enforce food safety, hygiene, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) in compliance with regulatory and company standards.Monitor production processes and equipment to identify issues or inefficiencies and ensure minimal downtime.Complete and verify production records, batch sheets, and shift reports with accuracy and timeliness.Support implementation of HACCP, BRCGS, and Maple Leaf food safety standards, ensuring team compliance during operations.Facilitate daily shift meetings and communicate updates, changes, or concerns to team members and management.Train new employees and cross-train existing staff on equipment, procedures, and safety protocols.Promote a culture of safety by ensuring proper PPE use, conducting safety audits, and responding to incidents appropriately.Collaborate with maintenance, FSQA, H&S and planning teams to resolve issues and maintain a smooth production flow.Demonstrate an active involvement/commitment to a progressive health and safety program and food safety program.What You’ll Bring:
High School Diploma or equivalent (ex. General Education Development accreditation).Relevant work experience within a unionized manufacturing environment.Effectively supervises, motivates, and develops frontline staff to achieve production goals and maintain a high-performing teamA track record of three to five years in a supervisory role, preferably within the service or retail industry, highlighting commitment to delivering outstanding customer service alongside managing teams within a dynamic operational environment.Adaptable to diverse shifts and primed for overtime, demonstrating a commitment to meeting customer needs swiftly and efficiently.Ability to identify issues on the floor, analyzes root causes, and implements corrective actions to minimize downtime.Strong interpersonal skills, adept leadership, and articulate communication skills—both verbal and written—to engage effectively with customers and team members in a fast-paced setting.Self-motivated and polished professionalism, exhibiting strong English communication skills (verbal, written, reading).Proficiency in computer operations, encompassing email and spreadsheets, coupled with a readiness to swiftly grasp and utilize various software platforms (e.g., SAP, Kronos) to enhance customer service and operational efficiency.What We Offer at Maple Leaf Foods:
