Cylinder Maintenance Technician
Location:
South Bend, IN
Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Cylinder Maintenance Technician to join our team! The Cylinder Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the overall maintenance of all industrial/specialty gas cylinders in a Plant environment.

Performs visual, physical tests on cylinders before filling and determines whether retesting and/or repairs are requiredPerforms cylinder conversions including de-valving, valving, stripping and repairing valvesOperates a hydrostatic cylinder tester or ultrasonic cylinder testerMaintains certification requirements to certify the cylinders as being retestedOperates forklift
Receives incoming new cylinders, valves, and cylinder maintenance supplies
Repairs cylinder neck leaks and safety leaksInspects and scraps defective cylindersPaints cylindersHousekeeping & light Plant maintenanceQualificationsWhat makes you great:
High School Degree or equivalent preferredGas industry and cylinder maintenance experience preferredAble to handle up to 40 - 70 lbs. on occasionMechanically inclinedMotivated attitudeWhy you will enjoy working with us
