Avena Foods is seeking a motivated Sanitation Technician for its Rowatt facility. Daily cleaning, sanitizing, and supporting pest control programs are essential functions of this role. Ideal candidates will bring basic sanitation experience and mechanical understanding, reflecting Avena's commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lock out machinery for thorough cleaning
• Operate floor scrubbers and vacuum systems
• Clean food production areas consistently
• Conduct inspections for pest control solutions
• Keep accurate records of sanitation activities
Requirements:
• Must have Grade 12 General Education Development
• Familiarity with HACCP principles is an asset
• Relevant sanitation experience preferred
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
• Flexibility for shifts including evenings & weekends
