Location: North Battleford

KIT Recruitment is hiring Plant Managers for multiple facilities in the North Battleford area. This hands‑on leadership role is ideal for an experienced Plant Manager or a Supervisor/Assistant Manager ready to advance. We're seeking leaders with grain and pulse processing experience who enjoy leading teams, solving problems, and driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily grain and pulse processing operations including receiving, cleaning, grading, sizing, splitting, loading/unloading, and storage
  • Operate and supervise processing equipment including cleaners, gravity tables, de‑stoners, indents, and color sorters
  • Ensure product quality, food safety, and workplace safety standards
  • Lead and supervise a team of approximately 15 employees
  • Coordinate production schedules and workflow
  • Support maintenance activities and troubleshoot operational issues
  • Track plant performance, maintain production records, and drive continuous improvement
  • Foster a positive, accountable team environment
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in grain or pulse processing (Plant Operator, Lead Hand, Supervisor, Assistant Plant Manager, or Plant Manager)
  • Experience operating grain/pulse processing equipment and grading products
  • Previous leadership experience in grain, agriculture, food processing, or commodities
  • Knowledge of plant operations, maintenance coordination, and troubleshooting
  • Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and workplace safety standards
