SSR Mining – Seabee Gold Operation (SGO) is hiring for a Sample Prep Technician .About Your New Role:

Reporting to the Supervisor, Assay Lab, the Sample Prep Technician (General Labourer), will be responsible for carrying out procedures in the laboratory to perform all mine, mill, and metallurgy assays.

Your

Key Responsibilities:

Unpack, sort, dry, and document all Geology rock and Mill-Metallurgy pulp samples.

Bucking (drying, weighing, homogenization, pulverization, subsampling, bagging, labelling) of all test work samples.

Crushing, splitting, pulverizing of drill core or rock/pulp samples.

Specific Gravity (SG) determination of samples.

Able to lift fifty (50) pounds.

Maintenance of sample grieve ovens, jaw crusher, riffle splitter, and puck & ring pulverizer.

Monitoring and maintaining adequate reagents and supplies requirements.

Ensuring work areas in the Assay Lab are kept tidy and organized (Housekeeping).Ensures all procedures are done accurately and in accordance with established SOP’s.Maintain a safe and productive work environment to ensure the wellbeing of all lab personnel.

Wear required personal protective equipment to maximize employee safety.

Any other duties as assigned by the department.
