We are looking for an Assembler 3 to join our Advanced Technologies Production team in Saskatoon. In this role, you will support the production of electronics and associated products, including printed circuit card assemblies, electrical and electronic sub-assemblies, and cable assemblies.

You will fabricate, inspect, repair, and integrate assemblies into complete systems while applying a strong understanding of assembly and production processes. You will troubleshoot complex production issues, provide leadership and guidance to team members, support quality and safety standards, and work with Manufacturing Engineering on new processes and product development.

• Demonstrate competency and leadership across production processes.
• Fabricate and inspect printed circuit card assemblies, electrical/electronic sub-assemblies, and cable assemblies, and integrate fabricated assemblies into complete systems.
• Apply a strong understanding of upstream and downstream production processes and how they impact operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve common, complex, and atypical production problems.
• Provide guidance and instruction to team members on identifying and resolving production issues.
• Support Manufacturing Engineering with new processes and product development.
• Demonstrate leadership in the use and application of PPE and safety equipment.
• Follow safety procedures, identify workplace hazards, and promote safe production practices.
• Coach team members and reinforce appropriate PPE usage and safety procedures.
• Educate team members on production processes, assembly, safety procedures, PPE, and common production problems.
• Demonstrate effective time management and maintain an organized workspace.
• Work collaboratively with employees across different teams to support workflow and productivity.
• Demonstrate leadership in communication and mentor others on working constructively within a team.
• Provide guidance on inspecting and assessing quality workmanship.
• Identify and address quality issues and determine requirements for corrective action.
• Repair assemblies when required and within demonstrated capabilities.
• Follow required processes and documentation to maintain quality controls.
• Inspect the work of others and ensure appropriate quality standards are maintained.
• Demonstrate sound judgment regarding corporate resources, including consideration of cost implications.
• Perform other duties as required within the context of the role.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience within a similar or related industry.
• Demonstrated experience solving complex and atypical production problems.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement and work process evolution.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and work collaboratively to develop and implement solutions.

• This is a full-time, onsite position at our Innovation Place facility in Saskatoon.
• 37.5 hours per week.
• Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance.
• The role requires frequent sitting and/or standing for a full shift, as well as frequent or constant gripping, grasping, pinching/squeezing, bending, wrist movement, and other repetitive physical movements.
• Any lift above 50 lbs requires a two-person or automated effort.
