Waste processing machinery and safety are central to this Technician role. Support truck loading, acceptance checks, and customer service in processing facilities.
This Technician, Processing Facilities role focuses on timely waste handling, safe equipment operation, and accurate paperwork. You will assist with trucks and containers, confirm incoming waste meets acceptance protocol, and complete job hazard risk assessments. The work also includes shop maintenance, problem solving, and communication with employees and customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Process waste safely and within required time frames
- Load and unload trucks and containers
- Operate processing machinery and equipment as required
- Complete paperwork and submit it properly
- Maintain shop cleanliness and general upkeep
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to perform moderately labour intensive tasks
- Ability to lift more than 50 pounds
- Ability to stand on cement for extended periods
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
