Role Overview

The Social Media & Brand Manager will own the day-to-day execution of social media, email, and light marketing storytelling for both HMCI and our Founder, Sadie St Lawrence. This role is focused on consistent, high-quality output that amplifies HMCI’s work, client impact, and Sadie’s speaking and personal brand.

This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who thrives on turning ideas, events, and stories into clear, engaging content across channels.

Core Responsibilities
1. HMCI Social Media
  • Own posting, scheduling, and light content creation for HMCI social channels
  • Translate research, events, and announcements into digestible posts
  • Coordinate with internal team to capture key moments and updates
2. HMCI Newsletter & Email
  • Draft and send HMCI newsletter emails
  • Maintain a consistent cadence and voice
  • Repurpose existing content into email‑friendly formats
3. HMCI Client Stories & Marketing
  • Turn client work into short case studies, social posts, and simple narratives
  • Support light client‑facing marketing materials as needed
4. HMCI Press Releases (Occasional)
  • Draft and coordinate occasional press releases for major announcements
  • Support distribution and basic tracking
5. Founder's Social
  • Support our founder’s personal social presence (primarily Linked In)
  • Turn talks, ideas, podcasts, and moments into posts and short‑form content
  • Maintain voice consistency and posting cadence
6. Founders Speaking & Brand Support
  • Promote speaking engagements before and after events
  • Help package talks into social content, email mentions, and highlights
  • Support basic media requests tied to Sadie’s brand
Qualifications Required
  • 3–5 years experience in social media or content management
  • Strong writing skills and ability to adapt tone across brands
  • Experience managing multiple content streams at once
  • Familiarity with tools like Canva, scheduling platforms, email tools
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
Preferred
  • Experience in a creative studio, innovation lab, or technology‑focused brand.
  • Background in podcast production, video editing, or narrative design.
  • Familiarity with AI creative tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, Runway, Synthesia, Eleven Labs, etc.).
  • Ability to show examples or previous social media you’ve ran and the growth.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary Range: $65,000 – $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) plan; and generous flexible time off, including unlimited vacation and personal wellness days.
  • Work Environment: Hybrid; in‑office presence required at HMCI’s Rancho Cordova HQ several days per week.
