Safe Software is looking for a Director of Product Marketing to serve as the strategic architect of our market narrative. As our product portfolio and market presence expand, we are looking for a visionary leader to evolve our messaging from individual product features to a cohesive, category-defining story.

This is a high-impact "builder" role. You will bridge the gap between our innovative product vision and world-class market execution by establishing the frameworks that drive our next phase of growth. We have an immediate opening and are excited to find the right candidate to join our team.

About The Team

In this role, you will lead a team of product marketing professionals focused on bridging the gap between product innovation and market success. You’ll champion the voice of the customer—leveraging research and industry trends to create high-impact narratives that solve real-world problems and drive measurable growth.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Director, Product Marketing, you will be responsible for:

1. Product Positioning & Messaging
  • Differentiated Messaging:
    Define and evolve messaging across products, industries, and buyer segments to ensure we stand out in the market.

  • Omni-channel Consistency:
    Ensure messaging is consistent and compelling across the website, marketing campaigns, sales materials, and partner communications.

  • Technical Credibility:
    Elevate the depth of our messaging, ensuring it effectively communicates both technical capabilities and tangible business outcomes.

2. Go-to-Market (GTM) Leadership
  • Strategic Launches:
    Lead the GTM strategy for major product announcements, feature releases, and strategic initiatives (e.g., Peak of Data and AI).

  • Process Standardization:
    Establish and standardize repeatable launch processes that improve efficiency and impact.

  • Cross-functional Alignment:
    Drive tight alignment between Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure unified execution.

  • Webinar Program:
    Partner with Demand Gen to shape the webinar program as a key channel for product storytelling and customer education, ensuring product connects to audience engagement at scale.

3. Customer Marketing & Voice of Customer
  • Customer Insights:
    Establish a structured Voice of Customer (VoC) program by consolidating insights from community, sales, and Customer Success to build a clear, reliable understanding of customer needs and behaviors.

  • Lifecycle Messaging:

    Develop targeted messaging that supports retention, expansion, and advocacy across the customer lifecycle.

  • Feedback Loops:
    Establish ongoing mechanisms to bring customer and market signals back into Product and GTM planning.

4. Competitive & Market Intelligence
  • Competitive Analysis:
    Oversee structured competitive research and the development of battle cards and other enablement materials to empower the sales team.

  • Market Trends:
    Monitor industry shifts, including AI advancements and market consolidation, to proactively adjust our strategy.

  • ICP Refinement:
    Use data and buyer insights to refine our ICP and market segmentation constantly.

4. Revenue Enablement
  • Sales Empowerment:
    Equip Sales and Partners with clear narratives, tools, training, and assets that reduce friction in the sales cycle.

  • Performance Impact:
    Focus on measurable improvements in win rates and sales velocity.

5. Team Leadership & Strategy
  • Team Development:
    Lead, mentor, and scale the product marketing team, fostering a culture of accountability and execution discipline.

  • Strategic Planning:
    Set clear KPIs tied to growth and revenue impact.

  • Executive

    Collaboration:

    Partner closely with the CEO and Product leadership on roadmap messaging and long-term positioning.

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies

Safers come from a variety of backgrounds with a diversity in skills and knowledge. That said, we find that those who are most successful in this role have experience with the following areas.

Required skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

  • Experience: 8-10+ years of experience in Product Marketing, with a proven track record in a Director-level or leadership role within a high-growth B2B SaaS environment.
