Take the reins as a Communications Specialist for George Gordon First Nation, enhancing internal and external communications while coordinating diverse events. This role requires strategic planning and strong coordination skills.
Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for managing communication tools and executing event logistics. This involves overseeing budgets, drafting materials, and utilizing various social media platforms. Your ability to create effective communication strategies will play a pivotal role in GGFN’s outreach and event success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Draft and submit proposals for communications initiatives
• Supervise online communication management for GGFN
• Coordinate logistical aspects of events and conferences
• Measure communication effectiveness and produce reports
• Develop new communication programs to improve outreach
Requirements:
• At least some secondary school completed
• 1-2 years experience in related fields
• Proficiency in social media and online communication tools
• Effective organizational and planning abilities
• Budget management experience for event execution
