Lead Marketing and Events for Collective Reflections

Location: Martensville

Drive engagement with the Social Issues Commission at Alma Mater Society as the Events and Marketing Lead. Focus on promoting equity, diversity, and fostering expression through compelling events.

In this position, you will dedicate 2-7 hours weekly to coordinate outreach and promotional strategies for Collective Reflections. Collaborating closely with the Editor(s)-in-Chief, you will manage launch events and submission drives, enhancing community involvement in the publication.

Your role is crucial in shaping conversations around essential social issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Update the Editor(s)-in-Chief about event opportunities

• Familiarize yourself with Collective Reflections’ mandate

• Create plans for promotional events, like the launch

• Drive student submissions via in-person events

• Participate fully in all required meetings

Requirements:

• Passion for equity and social issues communication

• Strong organizational skills for event management

• Adherence to AMS policies and ethics

• Experience with community outreach preferred

• Ability to create a welcoming environment
