Become a Charge Nurse in the National Spinal Injuries Unit at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. This full-time role focuses on patient assessment, care development, and leading nursing teams.
This permanent band 6 position at Philipshill ward is ideal for an experienced registered nurse with current NMC registration. Candidates should have significant post-registration experience at band 5 level, along with a passion for rehabilitation. Key responsibilities include supervising staff, implementing care programs, and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and develop individualized care programs for patients
• Manage daily operational responsibilities in the ward
• Set and monitor care standards alongside the SCN
• Maintain communication with multidisciplinary team members
• Lead and mentor junior staff and nursing students
Requirements:
• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
• Five years post-registration experience required
• Experience in neurosurgery or proven managerial skills
• Evidence of continuing professional development
• Proven involvement in quality improvement initiatives
