Part-Time Donor Centre Nurse

Join Canadian Blood Services as a Temporary Part-Time Donor Centre Nurse. You will facilitate blood collection while ensuring an outstanding donor experience at the Saskatoon donor centre.

The role involves supporting the Collections team in safely collecting vital blood donations. Leverage your strong communication and nursing skills to conduct screenings and promote a positive atmosphere. As a key contributor, you will also coach donor centre staff and maintain precise documentation during the collection process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure exceptional communication during donor registration

• Educate donors on blood donation processes

• Perform venipuncture and monitor donor safety

• Maintain accurate records across multiple systems

• Assist in mobile event setup for donor clinics

Requirements:

• Accredited nursing program completion

• Current Registered Nurse license in good standing

• Minimum two years of nursing experience

• First Aid and CPR certification is a plus

• Technical skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook
