Join Extendicare as a part time Registered Practical Nurse in Maple, Ontario. Provide essential nursing care while upholding healthcare standards and supporting resident well-being in a compassionate environment.
As an RPN at Extendicare, you will play a vital role in managing the quality of nursing practice. Utilize your skills in assessing patients, developing care plans, and monitoring resident health. Work effectively within established nursing standards, physicians’ orders, and administrative policies to ensure comprehensive care for residents in long-term care facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver nursing care according to professional standards
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions
• Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans
• Document changes in health status and coordinate referrals
• Support patients with cognitive impairments in their care
Requirements:
• Current nursing certificate from a recognized institution
• Registration or eligibility for registration in Ontario
• Previous experience in long-term care preferred
• Knowledge of infection control practices
• Strong communication and organizational skills
