At Extendicare, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of quality care while working collaboratively with nursing staff. The position involves patient assessments, care plan evaluations, and mentoring nursing personnel to uphold high standards. Your ability to lead in the Director's absence will be key.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide care in alignment with established nursing principles
• Assist in patient assessment and care plan implementation
• Supervise nursing and personal care staff effectively
• Monitor staff performance and provide feedback
• Lead nursing department in the director's absence
Requirements:
• Valid certificate of competence from the province
• Registered or eligible for registration status
• Experience in community or long-term care settings
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Competence in prioritizing tasks and problem solving
