Provide holistic oncology nursing care at Saskatoon Cancer Centre, using clinical assessment and treatment coordination during days-based casual shifts. Support patients across their cancer care experience.
This Registered Nurse serves Systemic Therapy & Outpatient Services within the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency. The position includes assessment, intervention, treatment administration, teaching, counselling, support, and follow-up. It reports to a Site Manager or Provincial Manager within Care Services Division.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess oncology patients throughout their cancer care experience
- Coordinate and administer cancer treatments
- Provide patient teaching, counselling, support, and follow-up
- Apply clinical knowledge during nursing interventions
- Maintain confidentiality in patient care
- Bachelor degree or diploma in nursing
- Basic Life Saver Certification BLS-C
- Licensed with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan
- Relevant clinical knowledge and effective communication skills
- Computer and Microsoft applications competency
Use oncology nursing, therapeutic communication, and clinical judgment to support patients at Saskatoon Cancer Centre.
