Registered Practical Nurse Urgent Care

Deliver patient-focused urgent care as a Registered Practical Nurse using clinical assessment and evidence-based nursing practices. Work within Mackenzie Health standards and CNO scope.

This Registered Practical Nurse supports patients with complex, well-defined care needs and predictable outcomes. Collaborate with an interprofessional team while providing holistic, safe care. Apply patient education, care planning, documentation, and professional judgment throughout each interaction.

• Manage nursing workloads effectively in fast-paced clinical settings
• Provide holistic, high-quality, safe patient care
• Assess patients and develop appropriate care plans
• Educate patients and families using clear communication
• Address issues respectfully using sound professional judgment

• Current General Class registration with College of Nurses Ontario
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• One year recent acute care nursing experience
• Current competency from a completed IV Therapy Course
• Operating Room certificate or enrollment in progress
