The Saskatchewan Fish Hatchery is seeking 2 summer students to join the Hatchery for the 2026 summer season near Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan. These positions will assist in the provincial stocking of approximately 125 trout lakes and 45 walleye lakes throughout the province as well as the day to day running of the provincial fish hatchery.
Job duties associated with these positions are:
- Provide essential services for well-being of fish eggs, fry, fingerlings, and brood stock
- Assist in stocking program throughout Saskatchewan
- Assist at spawn camps
- Maintain buildings and surrounding hatchery grounds
- Provide information and educational tours to diverse groups of people
- Repair and service equipment in the daily operation of the hatchery
A class 5 drivers license is required. Preference will be given but not limited to candidates enrolled in biological, aquatic or environmental sciences.
