Temporary Parks Labourer III (Summer)

The City of Martensville has six (6) openings for temporary full-time PARKS LABOURER III's (SUMMER).

The work term will be May 4 to August 28, 2026
.

• Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

• Assist with a variety of tasks such as seeding, watering, weeding, line trimming, hoeing, picking up debris.
• Assist with parks, sport fields and playground maintenance and cleaning.
• Use maintenance hand tools and equipment for upkeep of parks, sport fields, facilities.
• Assist with pruning of shrubs and other vegetation to ensure proper growth and appearance.
• Assist with the maintenance of parks, playgrounds, and green spaces, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appeal.
• Assist with maintaining sports fields, leisure facilities, and other public areas.
• Safely operate hand-held and small powered equipment.
• Maintain equipment in good working order, following safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Be safety conscious and demonstrate a high level of attentiveness to their own personal safety as well as that of their co-workers and the public.
  • Be able to perform physically strenuous work and to work outdoors under various weather conditions.
  • Have their Grade 12 or GED.
  • Have a minimum of 3 months of experience in horticulture/agriculture, equipment operation, general labour or construction.
• Have Standard First Aid/CPR
• Applicants are subject to a criminal record check.
