Position: Final-Year Veterinary Technician Practicum

Gain valuable clinical experience with NVA Canada’s Veterinary Technician Practicum program. This hands-on role supports final-year students in patient care, lab procedures, and surgical assistance.

NVA Canada invites eligible final-year veterinary technician students to apply for their practicum program. Students will work alongside seasoned veterinarians and registered veterinary technicians, enhancing skills such as anesthesia and radiology. With practicums ranging from two to eight weeks, you can align this experience with your educational and career goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in patient care and clinical procedures

• Collaborate with veterinarians and RVTs on treatments

• Develop skills in anesthesia and surgical assistance

• Conduct laboratory procedures including diagnostics

• Enhance communication with medical teams and clients

Requirements:

• Enrolled in an accredited veterinary technician program

• Final-year student completing a practicum
