Seasonal Groundskeeper

Sodexo is growing! We are looking for a Groundskeeper to join our dynamic team. This position is a Seasonal 25 to 30 hours a week Mon - Friday no weekends. You will be offered is a great team environment, work/life balance and the ability to ensure customer satisfaction.

During your mandate you will be required to mow lawns and trim grass around walkways, flower beds and walls, prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth, remove damaged leaves, branches and twigs using mowers, tractors and other hand and power tools. You will maintain flower beds or other decorative plants, maintain and sharpen tools and make minor repairs to equipment as required.

Plant, fertilize, water, and use herbicides and insecticides to maintain lawns, flowers, trees and shrubs.

You will be responsible for removing snow and ice from sidewalks and driveways, spreading salt and picking up trash. You will be asked to clean drainage ditches and culverts, maintain driveways and parking lots, repair fences, gates, walls, irrigation system, walkways using carpentry, masonry and painting tools. You will perform routine cleaning and maintenance of gardening and grounds equipment. May operate trucks and various motorized equipment such as mowers, tractors, two-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chain saws, electric mowers, lawn trimmers and pruning saws

You will be attending training programs (classroom and virtual) as needed, comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures, perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures, participate in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned as required

A high school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is required. One to two years of related work experience is preferred.
