Position: Turf Management Technician Role
Become a vital part of the Public Works Department in Fort McMurray as a Turf Technician with the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. This full-time role focuses on the maintenance and operation of municipal parks.

In this permanent position, you’ll engage in a range of turf management activities, ensuring the health and sustainability of sports fields, parks, and green spaces across the municipality. Candidates should hold a Turfgrass Management Diploma alongside three years of experience in turf care. The scheduled shifts will consist of four 10-hour days, allowing for efficient project completion and hands-on involvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement specialized turf management practices

• Design maintenance schedules for municipal turf areas

• Guide and supervise staff in seasonal projects

• Keep accurate records of equipment and supplies

• Operate specialized turf management equipment

Requirements:

• Turfgrass Management Diploma with three years’ experience

• Valid Class Five Operator’s License essential

• Expertise in turf management practices required

• Capable of operating various maintenance equipment

• Willingness to perform outdoor work in all conditions
