Position: Field Technician for Construction Materials

Thurber Engineering Ltd. is looking for an early career Construction Materials Field Technician with approximately eight months of experience. In this role, you will conduct essential inspections and tests on construction sites, ensuring compliance with CCIL, ASTM, and other standards. Excellent communication and organizational skills are vital for interacting with clients and project teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct field-based quality control testing

• Perform compaction and concrete tests in the field

• Inspect ongoing construction projects

• Monitor driven piles and concrete pile installations

• Report findings to clients and project engineers

Requirements:

• At least eight months of field materials testing experience

• CCIL/CSA Concrete Testing Certificate required

• Valid Class 5 driver license

• Strong interpersonal communication skills

• Capacity to lift 25 kg for samples
