Health and Safety Coordinator - Mining

Drive safety compliance as a Health and Safety Coordinator with a focus on Northern mine sites. Ensure adherence to regulations and implement critical safety measures for effective operations.

Reporting to the Director of Health & Safety, your role involves monitoring the Safety Management System (SMS) on-site. With over two years of experience, you will ensure compliance with legislation and deliver essential training programs. Regular travel to remote exploration camps is necessary, along with the ability to conduct safety inspections and audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor the Safety Management System effectively

• Investigate safety incidents and enforce corrective actions

• Deliver training programs including WHMIS and investigations

• Conduct safety inspections and participate in audits

• Ensure timely documentation submission in company safety software

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

• Valid driver's license with a clean record

• Pass pre-access drug and alcohol test

• Ability to travel frequently to remote locations

• Strong communication skills essential
