Become a Summer Research Assistant at SARCAN in Saskatoon, where you'll engage in vital research and community education on recycling. This temporary, full-time position will last 12 weeks, providing valuable experience.
At SARCAN, your primary focus will be on promoting recycling and exploring new ideas to expand services. You'll work closely with the Communications & Culture team and participate in community outreach to build awareness about recycling. This role is essential in enhancing SARCAN's mission to create a sustainable environment for future generations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Present information on recycling at various community venues
• Help create and distribute promotional content
• Investigate new recycling opportunities and trends
• Conduct environmental scans of other recycling jurisdictions
• Work collaboratively within the Collections team
Requirements:
• Relevant education or combination of experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication proficiency
• Competence in Microsoft 365 applications
• Valid class 5 driver's license with clear record
