The successful candidate will head the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture Strategic Research Program in Soil Nutrient Management, based within the Department of Soil Science. This full-time role emphasizes leading practical research, engaging with agricultural producers, and fostering collaboration with key stakeholders. Responsibilities also include mentoring students while integrating cutting-edge lab instrumentation for impactful research outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead research on soil nutrient management and biological inputs
• Conduct field-based studies on crop productivity and environmental interactions
• Engage with agricultural producers for sustainable strategies
• Mentor graduate and postdoctoral students in agriculture
• Collaborate with external partners on research initiatives
Requirements:
• PhD in Soil Science, Agronomy, or related field
• Proven ability to conduct and manage complex research
• Teaching experience is a beneficial asset
