In this pivotal role, you will lead a skilled team in advancing next-generation AAV gene therapies. Your responsibilities include coordinating with upstream and analytical teams, developing collaborative strategies, and serving as a subject matter expert in manufacturing processes. This position contributes significantly to early drug discovery and the successful progression of clinical pipeline programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead a downstream process team of 3-5 members
• Provide technical support and professional development to team members
• Collaborate across Disease Areas for effective drug discovery
• Transfer manufacturing knowledge to Technical Research & Development
• Innovate cost-effective downstream processes for AAV therapies
Requirements:
• PhD in relevant field with 3+ years’ experience
• Proven experience in managing teams
• Expertise in downstream purification methods
• Proficiency in AKTA systems
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Drive AAV gene therapy advancements at Novartis in San Diego.
