This two-year term at VIDO, based in Saskatoon, Canada, requires an individual skilled in virology with a PhD. Key Responsibilities:
• Study influenza virus transmission dynamics
• Conduct assessments for pandemic risk in research
• Assess humoral and cellular immune responses in ferrets
• Write influential publications and proposals
• Mentor students and technical staff in lab work
Requirements:
• PhD in Virology, Microbiology, or Immunology
• Experience with eukaryotic viruses and mammalian cells
• Background in molecular biology or virology
• Skills in evaluating immunity in animal experimentation
• Advantageous experience in high-containment laboratories
