Meat Cutter

Discovery Co-operative is hiring a Full-Time Meat Cutter for our North Battleford Food Store located in North Battleford, SK.

• Provide safe, courteous, efficient, and customer-focused service in our Meat Department.
• Perform duties and responsibilities of a meat cutter.
• Perform file maintenance and display products.
• Perform duties and responsibilities of a receiver.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards of the department.
• Come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude.
• Be dependable for all scheduled shifts.
• Ensure outstanding courteous guest service is always provided.
• Live the co‑op brand everyday.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Journeyman Meat Cutter Certificate or willing to complete the FCL Retail Meat Cutting Training Program within one year of hire.
• 2 years applied retail experience as a meat cutter.
• Must be available for days, evenings and weekends.
• Safe Food Handling Certificate required within 3 months upon hire.
• Must be comfortable working with different types of equipment such as a pallet jack, scales, grinder, pricing equipment, step ladders, etc.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, have good manual dexterity and lift up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to work regularly in cooler temperatures due to products in department.
