Join SARCAN as a Full-Time Cashier in Saskatoon East. This temporary position allows you to make a difference in the community while engaging with customers and supporting a sustainable environment.
SARCAN is offering a temporary full-time Cashier role until August 31, 2026, with the potential for extension. You will have opportunities for hands-on learning while leading Recycling Technicians and assisting with customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will also include operating point of sale systems and managing material preparation for shipping.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise depot staff in supervisor's absence
• Provide customer service, including handling inquiries
• Manage point of sale transactions and refunds
• Prepare materials for shipping and sorting
• Maintain cleanliness of the depot and equipment
Requirements:
• Grade 12 diploma required
• Minimum one year related cashier experience
• Ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus
• Commitment to sustainability and community engagement
