- Maintain Self‑Checkout Area Standards Maintains a clean, safe, and organized self checkout area, ensuring it remains free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and spills.
- Promote Walmart Programs and Initiatives Supports the promotion of company‑sponsored programs, including credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable initiatives.
- Support Customers at Self‑Checkout Helps customers use self‑checkout quickly and confidently by offering assistance when needed, monitoring activity, and completing required checks. Clearly explains interventions in a friendly, reassuring way and escalates cash or technical issues to the Customer Service Manager.
- Respond to EAS Alerts and Complete Documentation Responds to EAS alarms in accordance with procedures and accurately completes the "Failure to Deactivate" log.
- Manage Scan & Go Equipment Ensures Scan & Go scanners are returned to their designated storage locations after use.
- Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule)
- Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
- Adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high‑quality service.
- High Task Volume in a Fast‑Paced Environment
- Effectively manages overnight hours and plans accordingly to stay energized and focused.
- Handles a fast‑paced workload with efficiency, ensuring large volumes of restocking and recovery are completed accurately and on time.
- Physical Demands
- Standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.
