What You’ll Do- Maintain Self Checkout Area Standards:
Maintains a clean, safe, and organized self checkout area, ensuring it remains free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and spills. - Promote Walmart Programs and Initiatives:
Supports the promotion of company sponsored programs, including credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable initiatives, when applicable. - Support Customers at Self Checkout:
Helps customers use self checkout quickly and confidently by offering assistance when needed, monitoring activity, and completing required checks. Clearly explain any interventions in a friendly, reassuring way and escalates cash or technical issues to the Customer Service Manager. - Respond to EAS Alerts and Complete Documentation:
Responds to EAS alarms in accordance with procedures and accurately completes the Failure to Deactivate log. - Manage Scan & Go Equipment:
Ensures Scan & Go scanners are returned to their designated storage locations after use.
- Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high-quality service.
High Task Volume in a Fast-Paced Environment
- Manages overnight hours effectively and planning accordingly to stay energized and focused.
- Effectively manages work hours and plans ahead to maintain energy and focus throughout the shift.
- Handles a fast-paced workload with efficiency, ensuring large volumes of restocking and recovery are completed accurately and on time.
- Performs physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Performs repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.
