True North Cannabis Co. and True North Vapes are looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused Sales Associates to join our growing team!

As a Cannabis & Vape Sales Associate, you'll play an important role in providing an exceptional shopping experience across our cannabis and vape retail operations. Whether assisting experienced customers or welcoming someone new, you'll help customers make informed purchasing decisions while ensuring all sales comply with applicable regulations.

  Greet and assist customers, creating a welcoming, knowledgeable, and positive shopping environment.
• Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain knowledge of cannabis, vape, tobacco, accessories, and related products to confidently assist customers with their purchasing decisions.
• Sales Performance: Actively engage with customers, recommend appropriate products, promote accessories, and work toward achieving individual and store sales goals.

  Work closely with Store Management and fellow Sales Associates to maximize sales, improve store performance, and deliver excellent customer service.
• Cannabis & Vape Sales: Facilitate the responsible sale of regulated cannabis, vaping, tobacco, and related products in accordance with applicable legislation and company policies.
• Compliance & : Verify customer identification, enforce minimum age requirements, and follow all federal, provincial, and municipal regulations governing cannabis, vaping, and tobacco sales.
• Point-of-Sale Operations: Accurately process transactions using POS systems such as Cova, Merrco, Dutchie, and other company-approved systems.
• Cash Handling: Follow established cash-handling procedures, including accurate transactions, cash reconciliation, and loss prevention practices.
• Inventory & Merchandising: Assist with receiving inventory, stocking shelves, organizing products, maintaining displays, and ensuring accurate product placement.
• Store Operations: Maintain a clean, organized, secure, and professional retail environment while completing daily operational tasks.
• Customer Feedback: Address customer questions, concerns, and feedback professionally and elevate issues to management when required.
• Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about new cannabis and vape products, industry developments, company promotions, and regulatory changes.
• Continuous Improvement: Take initiative, contribute ideas, accept coaching, and actively participate in training and professional development.
• Independent Work: Demonstrate the ability to work independently, manage store responsibilities, and maintain operational standards during shifts with limited supervision.

• Basic math skills and experience handling cash or processing transactions.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with operating hours potentially ranging from 8:00 AM to 11:30 PM

• Must meet the legal age requirements for employment in Ontario cannabis retail.
• Must hold a valid, AGCO-approved cannabis retail training certification (Cann Sell or another currently approved program) before performing cannabis retail duties.
• Ability to meet applicable background screening and regulatory eligibility requirements.
