Account Manager Outside Sales

Drive positive sales growth at Grainger through outside sales and Salesforce, managing customer relationships across an assigned geography or vertical market.

As an Account Manager, you will manage approximately 40 to 45 current accounts averaging $2 million annually. You will use Grainger's CRM system, Salesforce, each day while reporting to the District Sales Manager. The work centers on customer planning, market data, managed inventory support, and profitable solutions.

• Understand customer goals and respond to changing needs
• Use market data and resources to address business developments
• Support managed inventory tasks and increase customer contacts
• Provide solutions aligned with Grainger's Value Proposition
• Develop account penetration strategies and conduct business reviews

• Two or more years of direct outside sales experience
• Equivalent inside sales or marketing experience accepted
• Experience with forecasting, opportunity management, and customer planning
• Ability to develop pipelines and grow market revenue
• High School diploma or GED; post-secondary education preferred
