The Metal Detector Hospital Security Guard must demonstrate strong situational awareness and composure while managing metal detector screening, access control, and visitor interactions in a fast-paced healthcare environment. As patient volumes, visitor flow, and special circumstances fluctuate throughout the day, the guard is expected to adjust screening procedures with precision while maintaining safety, dignity, and compliance with hospital protocols.
Clear communication, sound judgment, and a customer-service-focused approach are essential to ensuring a secure and welcoming hospital entrance at all times.
- Hour wage rate of $ 18.22 per hour

Responsibilities for Metal Detector Hospital Security Guard- Monitor the premises to ensure security
- Operate walk-through and handheld metal detection equipment in accordance with hospital policies and safety standards
- Access control
- Metal detector scanning (screen patients, visitors, staff, and contractors in a respectful, professional, and non-confrontational manner)
- Control access points and verify identities
- Maintain a calm and supportive presence in a high-stress healthcare environment, including emergency and high-volume periods
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining security
- Write detailed reports on events and incidents
- Communicate clearly with hospital staff, clinical teams, and security supervisors regarding screening concerns or incidents
- Provide clear instructions and assistance to individuals passing through metal detector checkpoints
- Ensure compliance with hospital access control procedures and infection prevention guidelines
- Collaborate with authorities during serious situations
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Clean criminal background check
- Saskatchewan Security Guard Training (we can help you get this)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Customer service
- First aid certification an asset
- Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations
- Responsive and strong problems solving skills
