Position: Credit Counsellor (Hybrid - Multiple Communities)
What This Role Involves:
CCS is seeking a  Credit Counsellor , working on a hybrid basis out of our  Saskatoon ,  Winnipeg ,  Ottawa ,  Toronto , and  Moncton  offices.

As a Credit Counsellor, you are passionate about supporting clients as they navigate financial challenges. You provide compassionate guidance to help them find solutions for managing debt, overcoming barriers, and achieving their financial goals.

In this role, you will:

Assess clients’ financial situations, helping them gain a clear understanding of their income, expenses, and debt obligations.

Provide personalized options and strategies to help them effectively manage and resolve their debts.

In some cases, offer ongoing support through a Debt Management Program, which enables clients to pay off their debts with interest relief.

Serve as a trusted resource, answering questions and following up to ensure clients stay on track toward financial stability.

As part of our commitment to delivering a consistent, high‑quality counselling experience, successful candidates will receive comprehensive training and are required to complete the Certified Financial Counsellor (CFC) certification within the first year of their start date.

What We Offer:

The starting salary range for this role is $60,840 – $68,848, with consideration to geographic location, as well as previous education and experience that exceeds the requirements of the role.

Plus, we offer an annual salary review process each January, so the successful candidate can expect to receive regular increases to their salary, subject to meeting established performance objectives.

In addition to a great workplace culture, our employee experience and compensation package includes:

Three weeks vacation to start, plus 3 CCS days to use at your discretion and 6 Sick/Personal Days each year. These benefits will be prorated for your first year of employment.

Educational reimbursements (up to $2,500/year).

Roles which require a team member to speak both French and English will qualify for a Bilingual Credit, valued at $800 annually and paid on a prorated bi‑weekly basis.

What We Are Looking For :
The ideal candidate will bring the following skills and qualifications:

Fluency in  English  (and  French , for bilingual roles) - both written and verbal communication.

Post‑secondary degree or diploma (an asset, but not required).

Three to five years of experience in financial services, counselling, social services, or related fields.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine desire to help people and collaborate as part of a team.

Goal‑oriented mindset, motivated by achieving objectives and supporting others in reaching their goals.

Strong ability to influence and guide others, including addressing concerns and overcoming objections.

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

Availability to work variable shifts scheduled between  7:30 AM and 8:00 PM (local time) . Flexibility, including early mornings, may be required.  Six Saturday  shifts per year are also required.

Work Environment:

Full‑time, hybrid position. Successful candidate will be asked to work  in‑office  one day per week.

Periodic in‑person meetings or events may be required, with advance notice.
