Serve as a Family Support Worker dedicated to supporting vulnerable families. Provide coaching, guidance, and education through regular home visits to reduce custody risks.
This full-time temporary role focuses on overcoming barriers to family success within a harm reduction framework. The candidate will demonstrate knowledge in child development and trauma-informed practices. Effective communication and accurate case documentation are crucial for success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct home visits to assess family needs
• Educate and coach parents for improvement
• Maintain detailed case documentation
• Advocate for resources to assist families
• Engage with community services for cooperation
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years in post-secondary education
• 1-2 years experience with at-risk families
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in computer usage and documentation
• Criminal Record Check required for vulnerable sector
