Become a Youth Support Specialist and help empower youth in at-risk situations. As a full-time youth worker, you'll develop care plans, lead training sessions, and engage in community collaboration.
This full-time role focuses on supporting youth through the My Homes Youth Housing Program. You'll play a key role in helping individuals navigate challenges by providing direct support and leading group activities. Commitment to ongoing training and understanding community dynamics is essential in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct support to youth in residential facilities
• Perform intake assessments and create care plans
• Lead life-skills training and group counseling sessions
• Document and maintain youth records accurately
• Collaborate effectively with staff and partner agencies
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in human services or related field
• 1-2 years in a relevant support role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Indigenous cultures valued
• Must be flexible for shift work
