Salary : $4,957.25 to $5,471.88 per month based on degree and experience.

Temporary, Full‑Time. Length:
Until 20 November 2026, with possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

Provide victim services for the DVCCW.

Work with Court, Probation, SVS, Crown Prosecution Service, Court officials, SPS, and community agencies.

Monitor and address safety concerns identified by or related to the victim.

Attend docket and trial courts in the DVCCW; provide court updates to clients.

Prepare risk assessments; consult with other agencies regarding recommendations for changes to court‑ordered release conditions.

Liaise between victim, police, prosecutor, DVCCW, and other agencies.

Adhere to reporting requirements regarding child protection.

Participate in agency program development, public education, and meetings.

Perform related administrative and record‑keeping duties.

Assist with supervision of peers, students, and individual cases.

May be required to perform work outside of regular operating hours, including evenings and/or weekends.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

University Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (BSW/BISW), Human Justice, or equivalent.

3–5 years of experience working in a court environment or a related area.

Knowledge of the dynamics of IPV and experience working with victims.

Familiarity with theories of human development, behaviour, change, communication, and conflict resolution.

Interviewing, assessment, and evaluation techniques.

Knowledge of and experience in trauma‑ and violence‑informed approaches.

Ability to work in cross‑cultural environments.

Awareness of addictions, mental health concerns, FASD, etc., and their influence on individuals impacted by IPV.

Ability to deal with difficult people in unusual/challenging situations.

Effective caseload management and organizational skills.

Valid driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle.

Final candidates are required to provide a satisfactory criminal record check, including a vulnerable sector search.
