Role Overview
The Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre Inc. – EGADZ requires a Youth Worker and applicants interested in Full‑Time (Temporary Contract) shifts for the My Homes Youth Housing Program within EGADZ. Shift work is required: daytime, evenings, weekends, and awake overnights.

EGADZ is an inter‑agency, non‑profit organization that provides services for hard‑to‑serve youth in Saskatoon, encouraging and supporting them to make choices that improve their quality of life.

The My Homes Residential Program offers support services for hard‑to‑serve youth who have been involved in at‑risk and high‑risk lifestyles. Ideal candidates are non‑judgmental, compassionate and able to build trusting relationships with youth.

Responsibilities
Provide direct support to youth in a residential setting, including performing intake assessments, developing individualized care plans, facilitating group counseling and life‑skills training, and maintaining accurate records.

Collaborate with staff, partners, and agencies to create a safe, nurturing environment and ensure confidentiality and appropriate boundaries are maintained.

Participate in ongoing training and supervision, including CPR and ASIST training within the first six months of employment.

Qualifications

Post‑secondary education in the human services field, equivalent experience, or a combination thereof.

Demonstrated commitment to healthy lifestyle practices.

Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with youth, staff, and partnership agencies.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Working knowledge of computers/windows.

Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and issues.

Good understanding of EGADZ and its mission.

Training in CPR and ASIST (within first 6 months of employment).

Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record and Driver's Abstract within 3 months.

Criminal record check within 6 months.

Willingness to work shift work – days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
