Activity Worker – Health Support Services (Canada Summer Jobs)

Reports To:

Recreation Therapy Lead

What you will do:
  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and delivery of department activities.
  • Assist with gentle exercise programs and food security programs
  • Assist with virtual programs
  • Socialize with clients
  • Helping with setting up, serving and cleaning up for meal and wellness programs
  • Assist with administrative tasks and projects
  • Attend and participate in team meetings and training sessions
  • Provide feedback as to how to improve programs and services
  • Prepare communications and program materials
  • Maintain and update digital records
  • Other tasks as assigned
What you will bring:
  • Enrolled in or completed a post‑secondary Health, Activation, Recreation, Kinesiology, Social Work, Social Service Worker, Gerontology program, or related field.
  • Experience working with seniors and persons with dementia is an asset.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
