Bilingual Counsellor

Position: Kids Help Phone Bilingual Counsellor
Location: North Battleford

Kids Help Phone is seeking a remote Bilingual Counsellor to support youth.

This role offers flexibility while addressing mental health, relationship, and safety concerns.

As a relief counsellor, you must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social services and at least 1-2 years of counseling experience. Your primary responsibility will be providing single-session solution-focused support via phone and live chat, showcasing your strong risk assessment skills and client-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer phone and live chat services to at-risk youth

• Perform risk assessments and safety planning

• Execute sound judgment for management escalation

• Foster a collaborative and respectful workplace

• Participate in clinical consultations and team activities

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field

• Experience in crisis intervention or counselling

• Fluency in both English and French

• Knowledge of youth protection legislation

• High-speed internet and dedicated workspace needed
