Pay Band and Compensation
Social Worker – BSW: $35,137 to $42,966 (5 step range)
Job DescriptionThe Social Worker – BSW practices in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to support clients of the target group(s), significant others, and those Social Worker – BSW will have a thorough working knowledge of the Saskatchewan HIV Strategy and the Provincial Leadership Case Management Standards. The Social Worker – BSW will incorporate the Four Strategic Pillars of the Saskatchewan HIV Strategy into daily practice.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work
- Licenses: Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Membership: Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
- Knowledge and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the Saskatchewan Public Health Act & Communicable Disease Control Regulations
- Knowledge of social determinants of health affecting vulnerable populations
- Ability to work as a member of a multi‑disciplinary team
- Demonstrates leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently to plan and prioritize workload demands
- Knowledge in the harm reduction model
- Knowledge of client experience and client support required along the continuum of care
- Competencies:
Leadership skills - Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities
- Knowledge of population health approach to health promotion/prevention
