Pay Band and Compensation

Social Worker – BSW: $35,137 to $42,966 (5 step range)

The Social Worker – BSW practices in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to support clients of the target group(s), significant others, and those  Social Worker – BSW will have a thorough working knowledge of the Saskatchewan HIV Strategy and the Provincial Leadership Case Management Standards. The Social Worker – BSW will incorporate the Four Strategic Pillars of the Saskatchewan HIV Strategy into daily practice.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work
• Licenses: Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Membership: Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
• Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of the Saskatchewan Public Health Act & Communicable Disease Control Regulations
  • Knowledge of social determinants of health affecting vulnerable populations
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi‑disciplinary team
  • Demonstrates leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently to plan and prioritize workload demands
  • Knowledge in the harm reduction model
  • Knowledge of client experience and client support required along the continuum of care
